The true measure of our success is customer satisfaction; however another valuable yardstick is being measured against your peers. This is what the Registered Master Builders House of the Year (HOY) enables us to do. The regional house of the year awards celebrate the accomplishments and excellent standards of Canterbury Registered Master Builders, winning an award is a great recognition of quality workmanship.

In 2006 Mckenzie Builders Ltd entered their first home in the HOY awards it won a gold which was a fabulous achievement. Since then we have gone on to enter homes in 2008 and 2009 winning a total of 5 golds, three silvers, 3 category winners, 2 gold reserves and one national award (2009 National awards will be announce in November). Going on to the National House of the Year awards is an exceptional achievement with only the top 100 homes going through; winning a gold reserve means you have national kudos! Winning a National title means you have built the best home in that category in the New Zealand.
